Who we are

 

Quit the clichés. Forget the formulas. And we’re done with boxes, and getting out of them, and all that. 212 is a gathering of 20 & 30somethings driven by a sincere desire to become like Jesus.  What does that look like? Well, you probably should come and see for yourself – but the main components center on the study of the Bible, worship, and hanging out.

 

Nobody has arrived. This life we find ourselves living is a journey, not a destination, and just like any journey/vacation you’ve taken with your family, it is filled with enough adventure and frustration to make you want to quit and keep going all at the same time! That’s why we are encouraged by the author to “continue” – in other words, to keep on; don’t give up! I imagine Paul, the author of Philippians, is writing this to quiet that small voice inside us that occasionally asks (in that annoying kid’s voice), “Are we there yet?” Paul is encouraging the original audience to continue to grow, to continue to pray, seek, change, and to do so with a balanced reality of our role in the whole process (a.k.a. fear & trembling)! God’s grace can change our lives if we will only obey His Word! We are a group of real Christ followers who are committed to living out life together!

Opportunities to Serve

Our teams are the lifeblood of 212. Made up of volunteers, these dedicated groups keep 212 running every Sunday evening, and take the ministry outside the church's walls throughout the week.

 

Social Outreach Ministries

Are you the type that wants to be involved in planning monthly events that are designed to get people connected? If you enjoy organizing events or are a person who has new and extreme ideas, come join our Social Outreach Team and help plan outings like adventure hikes, tubing trips, etc.

 

Greeters / Ushers

Are you a person who loves to make people feel at home? We want all who walk through the doors at 212 to feel like they are in a place that they are loved and cared about. Sign up and become a Greeter/Usher at our service and make all who come to 212 feel welcome and able to be themselves.

 

Web Site Team

Are you experienced in web design? If so, this is the ministry for you!

 

Graphic Design Team

Use your creative talents to design 212's print material and more. We are also looking for photographers to capture 212 people and events.

 

Tech Crew / Audio

212's Tech Crew is for anyone who loves the visual arts. Whether helping out with sound, mediashout, or even creating videos and resources for 212, this is an area of ministry that will not go unappreciated!
